Blake is a Meadville native who earned his BA in History from Allegheny College, graduating in the class of 2019.

During his time as an undergraduate, he became involved with the Phi Sigma Tau International Honor Society for Philosophy and conducted extensive research on 20th-century Chinese history. He came to understand that an ideal liberal arts education represented a time of near-unparalleled freedom for intellectual exploration and the opportunity to study under the great minds of the past. Therefore, Blake came back to his alma mater to see if he could help return the favor and help students better understand the narratives that we act out in our lives.

In addition to his work in the Admissions Office, Blake is heavily entrenched in the gaming industry. Whether it be an Action-RPG such as “Dark Souls” or the table-top card game “Magic: The Gathering”, he likely has some experience with it.

• Your Professors want nothing more than for you to succeed.
• Ask for help when you need it.
• An individual with a “why” can overcome any “how”.
• Get 7-8 hours of sleep and avoid the use of electronic devices prior to falling asleep and directly after waking up.
• An unexamined life isn’t a life worth living.
• Understand the narrative that is playing out in your life.
