Allegheny College Trustee Scholarship
Allegheny’s Trustee Scholarships are awarded to students who have balanced academic excellence with other distinctive activities while in high school.
Scholarship Amounts: Up to $160,000, distributed equally over four years of study at Allegheny (i.e. up to $40,000 per year).
Renewal: Trustee Scholarships renew automatically for up to four years of full-time enrollment at Allegheny or in an Allegheny-sponsored off-campus study program. No minimum GPA is required to renew the scholarship.
Eligibility and Selection: Students recognized as Trustee Scholars usually rank in the top 25% of their high school class (or otherwise excelling in class work and other activities when the school does not rank) and have SAT/ACT scores (if reporting test scores) consistent with their academic performance. The top scholarship is awarded to the very best of the best, typically to only the top few applicants each year.
A limited number of Trustee Scholarships are available to highly qualified transfer students.
To Apply: Consideration for the Trustee Scholarship is automatic when students apply for admission under Early Decision (by November 15), Early Action (by December 1 and February 1) and Regular Decision (by February 15) methods. Trustee Scholarship award recipients will be notified via mail regarding their eligibility and amount of award. Students must be registered as full-time, degree-seeking students to qualify for this scholarship.
