To our current and future transfer applicants

In these uncertain times, we realize that many students’ academic opportunities are evolving. As your current school considers changes to grading policies or sets forth any other modifications that may be reflected on your transcript, we want to remind you that Allegheny’s holistic application review process will allow us to consider these unprecedented circumstances.

Please note, due to school closings and stay at home orders being issued around the globe, we will support you and provide flexibility with deadlines.

Application Process for Transfer Students

Allegheny Application – or – Common Application
We want you to choose the application that is right for you. We treat both applications equally and there is no application fee required.

If you previously submitted an application to Allegheny College, please contact the Transfer Coordinator at admissions@allegheny.edu to reactivate that application.

Required Materials

Transcripts, evaluations, letters of recommendation, and college official’s forms must be sent directly from institutions such as your high school or college. Transcripts and forms sent by the applicant will not be considered official.

College Transcript

Have an official transcript of all college-level coursework mailed or faxed to the Office of Admissions. If transcripts are sent electronically please send to admissions@allegheny.edu. A transcript that is stamped “Issued to the Student” is not considered official. If a transcript will not be available by the application deadline, have your instructors complete the Mid-term Report (see next)
