Videos communicate the distinctions and positive impact of the Allegheny College experience by sharing compelling stories from the College community. Allegheny is a beautiful, vibrant place, and video provides an excellent opportunity to showcase our campus environment. Marketing and Communications captures, edits, and distributes video in a variety of ways throughout the year.

Style and Approach

Marketing and Communications videos typically employ a narrative approach that reflects the voice and tone of the College. Our goal is to create videos that help to convey the College’s standing as one of the nation’s most distinguished — and innovative — liberal arts colleges.

In addition to ensuring high-quality production standards, attention is especially given to the following aspects when capturing video:

  • Accuracy in all details, sharing the insights and experiences of our students, faculty, staff, alumni and other community members
  • Relevance of location to subject
  • In-the-moment, authentic events
  • The College’s commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Specific references to Allegheny and campus

Project requests

Marketing and Communications produces video for external marketing purposes to use in promoting the College to key audiences. We work with our clients to create an initial storyboard from which a script is developed. These steps in video production are key to capturing footage that tells a story.

Please note:

We capture and produce video for use on the College’s social media channels, homepage, high-profile websites, and other projects that support institutional marketing priorities. We do not produce videos for archival purposes, such as footage of a speaker, an event, etc.
