Monday At-A-Glance (March 4, April 1, April 15)

Monday is packed with activities for students and family members! You’ll have time to attend an Allegheny Information session (great for first time visitors!), experience an Allegheny class or two, and meet with staff members from offices across campus, take a campus or green tour—you’ll see it all! Family members, we have plenty for you to do as well as indicated on our General Schedule below.

Schedule Details
7:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Students will follow their individual itinerary, which is scheduled based on your choices on the registration form. All students will attend at least one class, and itineraries may include events from the “Family” events listed below.

Come meet with the IDEAS Center (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, & Social Justice) to learn more about the initiatives that Allegheny is working on in our community.
Allegheny Information Session
Geared toward first-time visitors, this session outlines Allegheny’s distinctions to explain why Allegheny stands out among other liberal arts institutions.
Sign up during event check-in Master Class for Parents and Family
Experience Allegheny’s academic environment by attending one of our Master Classes. Each class will include a 40-minute presentation with time for questions regarding academic programs, research, and support services. Master Classes are available by pre-registration only: indicate when you register if you are interested in attending a master class, then sign up for a specific class when you check-in on campus.

Green Tours

Financial Aid Information Session
Allegheny 101 — How To Be a Greater Gator!
Learn more about advising, mentoring, academic planning, student research and career resources available at Allegheny to ensure Gator success — it all begins in the first year! An informative session with faculty who teach our first & second year seminars, representative from the Learning Commons (the office that coordinates orientation, academic planning and services), representatives from the Gateway (Pre-professional advising for law, medicine & education, Career Education, Internships, Service Learning & Study Abroad) and URSCA (Undergraduate Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activities).

Stop at your convenience to check out on-campus dining at either McKinley’s Food Court (a la carte) or Brooks Dining Hall (all you care to eat).

McKinley’s Food Court, opens at 7:30 a.m.
Brooks Dining Hall, 11:00 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Allegheny Bookstore, 10:00 a.m. – 2 p.m.
