Curriculum Committee Deadlines for 2026-2027
The following deadlines have been established by the Curriculum Committee to allow time for the committee to review each proposal, request and receive revisions or additional information from the proposer(s), and present the proposal for two readings and a vote in faculty meetings, as needed.
Please contact the chair of the Curriculum Committee if you have questions about the submission requirements or designations (e.g. is this a revision or is it new?).
Monday, September 7, 2026
- Spring EXL 100s
- Special Topics
- Revised Courses (procedural changes only; e.g. removing/changing prerequisites or restrictions)
Monday, October 5, 2026
- New Courses (to be offered no earlier than the following fall)
- Revised Courses (LO, DR, and/or title/description changes)
- Revised Programs (majors, minors)
- Revisions can range from revised POL’s only, through more substantive changes like the inclusion of revised or new courses
- Note that significant amounts of revisions may, at the CC’s discretion, result in the recategorization to a New Program proposal
- New Programs (to be offered no earlier than following fall)

Deadline considers time for revision/resubmission to CC + two readings on faculty floor
- New Programs (majors, minors, microcredentials, co-ops)
- Note: any new courses that are part of the proposal cannot be offered until the following spring at the earliest
- New/Revised Global Learning Seminars (to be offered spring break or summer of the following academic year)
- Repeat GL’s can bypass curricular review
- Note: proposals will be submitted to the Assistant Dean for Global Education by mid-January. Curricular elements of proposals will be forwarded to CC by this early February Deadline
