“The Chairperson is responsible for organizing class schedules, subject to approval by the Provost. Although the task of actually coordinating schedules may be delegated, untenured faculty members should not be asked to perform this task. It is the Chair’s right to ensure that scheduling burdens are equitably shared by department members, who must be aware that it may be necessary to teach a five-day schedule one semester per year.” – Faculty Handbook, Section 2.6.7
