Use this form to change your FERPA privacy settings to the following settings. You can view the Privacy Policy (FERPA) using the link below.
1. “OK to Release Information” — At its discretion, the College may provide directory information to the public, without prior approval, but educational information will ONLY be provided to authenticated individuals. This will appear as “OK to talk to parents” in your Self Service profile.
2. “Selective Release” — At its discretion, the College may provide directory information to the public, without prior approval, but educational information will ONLY be provided to the authenticated individuals that you have named. This category allows a student more control over their privacy rights and authorizes the College to speak to one or more authenticated individuals but not others. You ONLY need to use this option if there is a parent or guardian that we may NOT speak with. i.e., if we may speak to any parent or guardian, you don’t need to name them individually. This will appear as “Call Registrar’s Office” in your Self Service profile.
3. “Release Only Directory Information” — At its discretion, the College may provide directory information to the public, without prior approval, but that educational information will NOT be provided to any third party, including authenticated individuals. This will appear as “Do NOT discuss grades or academic records w/parents” in your Self Service profile.
4. “Release No Information” — NO INFORMATION at all about the student will be released to anyone. This means we will not discuss anything with authenticated individuals and nor will we confirm to anyone that you attend Allegheny College. This will appear as “Release NO information to ANYONE” in your Self Service profile.
